Rosetown teacher sentenced for sexual exploitation

A high school drama teacher from Rosetown, Sask., is heading to jail for 14 months for sexual exploitation of a 16-year-old student.

A high school drama teacher from Rosetown, Sask., is heading to jail for 14 months for sexual exploitation of a 16-year-old student.

David Robertson was sentenced on Tuesday. In earlier court proceedings he plead guilty to the charge, which was laid in August.

Robertson, 37, will also be placed on a registry of sex offenders.

The victim cannot be identified.

Rosetown is a community of 2,277 about 115 kilometres southwest of Saskatoon.
