Riders' Defensive Lineman David Lee gets touchdown ball back
Thanks to a hashtag and some prodding from Premier Brad Wall, Lee was reunited with his football
During the August 7, 2014 Saskatchewan Roughrider versus Blue Bomber game in Winnipeg, Riders Defensive Lineman David Lee scored a rare touchdown. But because of a CFL rule, Lee couldn't keep his lucky ball.
It all started during the third quarter when Blue Bomber Quarterback Drew Willy fumbled the ball down the field. Roughrider Defensive Lineman David Lee came by, scooped up the ball and ran seven yards for the touchdown.
Now thanks to some help from the province's premier, there is a happy ending for a man and his football. Follow the tweets below to find out how it all played out.
