CFL star Geroy Simon attracted a crowd of Saskatchewan Roughrider fans eager for an autograph and picture with the newest member of team, freshly arrived following a deal with Simon's previous team, the BC Lions.

Simon was in Regina to don a Riders jersey and meet fans, about 50 whom lined up at the team store at Mosaic Stadium.

"I can't stop smiling," Corey Crumley, who was first in line, gushed. "It's like: kids being born, or Geroy Simon? I don't know what's first."

"I think he will bring lots of touchdowns to the Riders and he will actually show them how to play," another enthusiastic fan said.

Simon's appearance was noted by fans of the B.C. Lions, as well.

"There's been one thing going through my head since Thursday and that is utter disappointment," Duane Neufeld said. "I can't even put into words what this feels like for me."

Simon moves to the Riders with big expectations. He currently holds the CFL's all time receiver record.
