People in Rhein, Saskatchewan are cleaning up after a strong storm ripped through the small community damaging homes, yards and uprooting trees.

Rhein is located located between Yorkton and Kamsack, where tornado and thunderstorm warnings were in effect Saturday afternoon.

Environment Canada received reports of a tornado in the Kamsack area, but it is unclear if a tornado had touched down near Rhein, though people reported seeing funnel clouds in the area.

Ted Lenzen, who lives in Rhein, said a number of trees in his yard have been uprooted. He thinks the cleanup will take months.

Lenzen said he heard that nobody in his community was injured during the storm, but with all the damage, he and his neighbours have a lot of work on their plate.
