The snow dump in Regina will re-open Friday night after being closed earlier this week for safety reasons.

The Fleet Street and McDonald Street location will open at 10 p.m. CST.

There will be two dumping locations on the site — one for semis and tandems and another for lighter vehicles such as half and one-tonne trucks.

The city closed the dump on Wednesday, saying the the ground was too soft for the heavy trucks to maneuver safely.

With the reopening, it is also warning people of long wait times due to congestion, as well as the potential for deteriorating ground conditions at the site.
