Regina's New Year's baby arrived a little earlier than expected.

Jack Richard Ketcheson was born at 1:42 a.m. CST — but premature by six weeks.

He's the third child for Bobbi Jo Jackson and her husband, Frank Ketcheson.

Jack is currently in a neo-natal intensive care unit, but is doing well.

Jackson told CBC News on Monday that she was aiming to have Regina's first newborn of 2011.

"I just had a feeling that it was going to happen," she said. "I had just changed my Facebook status to 'bummer, I'm not having the New Year's baby,' and I went into labour five minutes later, she said.

Jack weighed six pounds, four ounces at birth.
