Regina police probe city's fourth homicide

Regina police are investigating after a woman, 37, was found serioulsy injured in a home in the city and later died in hospital.

Regina police are investigating after a 37 year old woman was found seriously injured in a home and later died in hospital.

Officers were called to a house in the 1800 block of Atkinson Street after a report of an injured person at about 1:47 a.m. CST Friday.

When they arrived, they found a woman who had been injured. She was taken to hospital, but died just before 3 a.m.

Police also found a man at the house. He was treated for minor injuries.

After police secured the scene they were led to a second house on the same block, where three people were taken into custody without incident.

Police said there were questioning a man and two women.

Officers also conducted a search of the area for evidence.

An autopsy has been ordered and the victim's name was not released.

Police said the woman's death is Regina's fourth homicide of the year.
