Regina police officer hospitalized after hit and run
Jason John Dunlop, 33, sought in connection with incident
A Regina police officer is in stable condition in the hospital after being struck by a vehicle during a hit and run on Wednesday afternoon.
The vehicle struck the officer while he was on foot.
It happened at about 4:30 p.m CST, around the 1800 block of Angus St. near Saskatchewan Drive.
Police are investigating the incident. They said Thursday morning the officer is recovering.
Man sought on Canada-wide warrant
Meanwhile, a Canada-wide warrant has been issued for Jason John Dunlop, 33, who's wanted for being unlawfully at large.
Police say they believe he's connected to the hit and run.
It's believed he could be driving a white, Ford F-350 pickup truck with Alberta licence plate number BJK4423, police said.
The vehicle is damaged on the passenger-side front bumper, as well as from the driver's door to the rear of the vehicle.
