Police are investigating a possible attempted abduction of a ten-year-old girl in Regina.
The girl was with a group of children walking between buildings Friday shortly before 2 p.m. CST at the University of Regina's College Avenue Campus when officers say the incident happened.
The girl was walking some distance behind the other kids, between the Conservatory building and Darke Hall.
She told police a man called out to her and when she came closer to him he grabbed her arm. She was able to escape the man’s grasp and ran to tell campus security. They notified the police.
The girl was not hurt in the incident. She did not know the man. Officers searched the area but were unable to to find the man. They continue to investigate.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian man about five feet nine inches tall with grey-black collar-length hair and a patchy beard, with an estimated age of 50 to 65.
