Regina police investigate death of 1-year-old girl

A one-year-old girl died in a Regina hospital at about 10:30 p.m. CST on Friday night.

Police in Regina are investigating the death of a one-year-old girl who died on Friday night.

Police were called to the 6200 block of Dalgleish Drive just after 11 a.m. CST on Friday for a report of a baby who was having trouble breathing.

When emergency crews arrived, the infant girl received emergency medical treatment and was taken to hospital.

At about 10:30 p.m., the one-year-old died in hospital. Police are not releasing the name of the infant.

Police said they are now investigating the incident to learn more about what caused the child's death.
