A Regina man is heading to trial in connection with the death of a toddler earlier this year.

Adam Bradley Cyr, 32, has been charged with second-degree murder.

After a preliminary hearing last week, a judge ruled the Crown's case was strong enough to take to trial.

Natalia Marie Dawn Shingoose's body was found in a house in the city's North Central area on June 23. She was just a few days shy of her third birthday.

A trial date has not yet been set at court of Queen's Bench in Regina.
