Regina man charged after highway death
A 41-year-old Regina man has been charged after a fatal head-on collision near the Dundurn military base Saturday night.
RCMP say the man, whose name was not released,has been charged with nine offences, including dangerous driving causing death and impaired driving, after the truck he was drivingcollided with a car carrying four people.
The driver of the car, a 35-year-old man from Saskatoon, was killed. The three passengers, two women, aged 43 and 65,and an 82-year-old man, were injured in the accident.
Second accident kills both drivers
In another fatal traffic accident Saturday night, two women were killed when the vehicles they were driving collided south of Yorkton.
Police say Shilo Marie McEwan, 30, of Edmonton, was killed and her 30-year-old male passenger was injured.
The name of the other driver,a 56-year-old woman from Melville, will not be released at the request of her family, police say.
