A 25-year-old Regina man faces a slew of charges after police executed a high-risk search warrant on Tuesday.

A 25-year-old Regina man faces a slew of charges after police executed a high-risk search warrant Tuesday, police said in a release Wednesday.

Police said the search warrant at a residence on the 1500 block of Cameron Street was part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking.

SWAT and Crisis Negotiator teams were called in to help.

Several people were taken into custody and police said they are trying to determine if they are involved in criminal activity.

Officers also found firearms, ammunition, and drugs.

The 25-year-old man faces charges including possession of a scheduled substance and possession of a firearm.

He had his first court appearance Wednesday morning.
