The RCMP are investigating a double homicide after two people were found dead in a home on the Standing Buffalo First Nation.

The bodies were found Thursday morning after police received a call at around 4:50 a.m. CST.

A caller said there were people possibly injured on the reserve, which is in the Fort Qu'Appelle area about 70 kilometres northeast of Regina.

At a news conference Thursday afternoon, Standing Buffalo First Nation Chief Roger Redman said the families affected were being assisted by a crisis unit brought to the reserve.

He added that there were two possible suspects linked to the deaths.

Police said the investigation is in its early stages and no names will be released.
