Country music star Randy Travis has been admitted to a Texas Hospital in critical condition and will not appear at the Craven Country Music Jamboree.

Travis had been scheduled to perform at the annual country festival northwest of Regina on Saturday.

However, he's suffering from a heart condition caused by a viral infection.

The Craven Jamboree website confirmed that his appearance is cancelled.

"Organizers wish him well, but move forward to find replacement act," a message on the site said.

Travis was also scheduled to perform Friday at Living Sky Casino in Swift Current.

That show is presumably cancelled too, although there was no immediate word on the casino website.
