Radisson, Sask. lifts evacuation alert
Radisson has lifted its flood evacuation alert Saturday morning, but the town will continue to monitor daily water levels.
People in about 50 homes in the community, located about 70 km northwest of Saskatoon, have been on standby since Monday because of rising waters.
The town's Emergency Measures Committee told CBC's News water levels are going down.
"We're pretty excited," said Michelle Nelson, who speaks for the committee. "We're not going to ease up on our diligence of measuring everything, but we are happily informing people that we think we have everything under control for now."
Nelson says they've also managed to turn off the main pump keeping water off Main Street.
