RCMP in Saskatchewan say a police investigation looking into the behaviour of one of their members, before he retired, found "insufficient evidence" to proceed with any charges.
In November, CBC News reported that former Staff Sgt. Bruce Spencer was being investigated over allegations of inappropriate behaviour as a member of the RCMP's Regina Integrated Drug Unit.
The case was being looked at by the Regina Police Service.
On Thursday, in a news release, RCMP said they learned from Regina police that their investigators' work on the case found insufficient evidence to lay any charges.
The Mounties were also looking at the allegations through an internal Code of Conduct review.
The RCMP said that review found "no substantiated allegations against any serving members of the RCMP."
