Police in the Battlefords, Sask. are investigating after a gas station clerk was robbed at knifepoint Friday night. 

It happened on 22 Street West at about 9:30 p.m. CST. 

Police said a masked man went into the gas station and struck one of the people working there. The person sustained minor injuries. 

The suspect took out a knife and demanded cash from the two employees working there. 

He left on foot with and undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes. 

Officers searched the area with a police dog, but were not able to find the suspect. 

He's described as in his late 20s with a slim build, standing about 5-foot-11-inches tall. Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact them.
