Police probe fatal crash in Canora, Sask.
Hwy 9 passing through town temporarily closed
Police are investigating after one person was killed in a single vehicle crash in Canora, Sask.
Officers responded to the corner of Norway Road and Alexander Avenue at about 7 p.m. CST.
They said a southbound van crossed the median on Norway Road, crossed over the northbound lane and ended up slamming into a tree.
The driver, who was the only person in the van, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The name of the deceased has not been released pending contact with the family.
The RCMP traffic analyst was investigating what happened.
Norway Road, which passes through Canora has been temporarily closed, with traffic being rerouted at the scene.
Canora is located about 50 kilometres north of Yorkton.
