Police in North Battleford, Sask., have arrested three men following a violent home invasion early Wednesday morning.

Shortly after midnight, RCMP officers were called to a break and enter in progress. They found the homeowner injured after having been beaten.

He was transported to hospital for treatment.

Three men, ages 20, 22, and 24, were arrested — one was outside the house, while the other two were hiding in the basement.

RCMP are still investigating the incident.

Wednesday's incident follows a number of violent robberies earlier this month in The Battlefords, which includes the city of North Battleford and the neighbouring town of Battleford.
