The Diefenbaker Canada Centre at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon will host Prime Minister Stephen Harper on Thursday.

Harper is expected at the centre at 1:45 p.m. CST, where he will be joined by Premier Brad Wall and Peter MacKinnon, president of the university.

After a 15-minute tour, Harper is scheduled to make an announcement.

The Diefenbaker Canada Centre houses the former Progressive Conservative prime minister's personal papers and other memorabilia. It also provides educational programming on the themes Canadian citizenship, leadership and Canada's role in the international community.

At 6 p.m. Thursday, Harper is scheduled to speak at an event at Prairieland Park in Saskatoon.
