The pilot of a small plane is OK after making what police call a "controlled aircraft landing" in a field northwest of Regina.

RCMP said they were called at 3:35 p.m. CST Thursday about the landing, which took place in a field about 22 kilometres northwest of the city.

Police said the pilot was the only person on the plane and that he was not hurt. The plane, believed to be a Cessna, suffered some damage.
