Fifty homes in the Town of Radisson, Sask., were put on evacuation notice Tuesday afternoon.
Chris Tyreman, who works for the town, said people in the community have been sandbagging non-stop to hold back flood waters.
"In all honesty, if it hadn't been for the mayor, the council and the volunteers that have come out, we wouldn't be managing this water," Tyreman said Tuesday. "It's just amazing how much water can melt out there and funnel through this town."
Gary Kirilenko, a Radisson resident, said he's trying to stay positive.
"What are you going to do?" Kirilenko said. "You can't sit and whine and cry. It's what happens and you get used to it in Saskatchewan."
With temperatures expected to rise in the next few days, more water is expected to pour into the community.
