City officials in Regina say a handfull of people have been sent multiple water bills — their own and those of other residents — due to a malfunctioning envelope-stuffing machine.
Linda Unger, the manager of corporate information at city hall, said the machine was being fixed and that only 20 or so customers were affected.
Officials were not able to say if they know who all received multiple bills -- or did not get their bill -- because of the malfunction, but when they do figure that out, the people who missed their bills will be contacted.
As well, the province's Privacy Commissioner will be informed of the issue.
There was a similar mix up in 2012.
