RCMP in North Battleford, Sask., are investigating two violent robberies that took place under similar circumstances.
Twice in the past week, men were asked for a cigarette or lighter by another man, then struck in the head and knocked unconscious.
In both cases, the men woke up to find cash and personal effects taken away from them.
The latest robbery took place early Saturday morning, at around 5 a.m. CST, on the 2600 block of 98th Street.
The first incident happened on Oct. 11, shortly after 9 p.m., on the 1100 block of 105th Street.
No arrests have been made in either case, RCMP said in a release early Sunday.
A composite sketch artist is working with both victims, according to police.
