A 29-year-old resident of Nipawin, Sask., is in hospital with severe head injuries following an early-morning attack in his home on the weekend, RCMP say.
Police said Monday that they were called to the home on Kingsway Drive at around 5:15 a.m. CST Sunday.
Once there, officers found the injured man and he was taken by EMS to the local hospital and then air-lifted to Saskatoon. They described his injuries as "life-threatening".
Police said two people were arrested and charged and a third suspect is also in custody and expected to be charged.
They noted that their investigation is continuing, but alcohol appears to have been a factor in the case.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing with the assistance of RCMP Major Crime Unit North and Tisdale RCMP Forensic Identification Section.
