Moose Jaw crash seriously injures woman, 78

An elderly woman was taken to hospital in serious condition Tuesday night after a highway crash in Moose Jaw.

An elderly woman was taken to hospital in serious condition Tuesday night after a highway crash in Moose Jaw. 

It happened about 6:50 p.m. CST where the Trans-Canada Highway meets Thatcher Drive East. 

The 78-year-old woman in a sport utility vehicle was pulling onto the Trans-Canada when she was in a collision with a semi. 

The truck driver, 29, wasn't hurt.

Police said although her injuries are serious, they are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police are investigating.
