Man in hospital after walking in front of train, police say
Yorkton RCMP say alcohol was a factor in a collision involving a man and a train Saturday.
Police said the pedestrian walked through a railway crossing on Broadway Street West by Laurier Avenue as a northbound train was approaching.
The train struck the man. Yorkton firefighters and paramedics also responded to the collision.
The man was taken to Yorkton Regional Hospital and was later moved to a Saskatoon hospital for further treatment.
