A 52-year-old man was airlifted to hospital after losing control of his motorcycle on the highway near Kindersley, Sask.

It happened on Highway 7 about 25 kilometres east of Kindersley at about 7:30 a.m. CST Saturday.

People travelling in the area stopped to provide first aid and direct traffic before emergency crews arrived to the scene.

When paramedics arrived an air ambulance was called to transport the man to a Saskatoon hospital.

Traffic on Highway 7 was blocked to set up a landing area.

The man was treated for serious injuries sustained in the crash.
