Regina police are investigating the city's third homicide of the year after a man was found dead in a home in the city's north end Friday morning.

Officers responded to the 400 block of Wascana Street at about 5:50 a.m. CST for a call of a man who was seriously injured.

When they arrived they found a man in the house who was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

The house was taped off and the coroner's office, major crimes and forensic identification units are investigating.

Police said they believe they know the identity of the victim, but his name will not be released pending notification of his family.

No arrests have been made.
