Man bound, beaten on Ochapowace First Nation

Police have one man in custody are looking for a second suspect after a person was tied up and beaten by two people Friday on the Ochapowace First Nation.

Another man charged with forcible confinement, aggravated assault

RCMP say a 23-year-old man from the Ochapowace First Nation has been charged with aggravated assault and forcible confinement after a 21-year-old man was tied up and beaten in the community on Friday. 

The man will appear in court in Melville, Sask., Monday.

Officers are also looking for a second suspect in the incident, who they only describe as a "young person."

Police say the victim knows both suspects. He was treated for serious injuries in hospital over the weekend. 

RCMP Major Crimes and Forensic Identification units are assisting local detachments on the investigation. They say they will release more information as it becomes available.
