Man, 80, struck, killed on Highway 11
Vehicle broke down shortly before he was hit
An elderly man is dead after being struck by a pickup truck while walking along Highway 11, the RCMP said.
It happened Thursday at around 11:15 p.m. CST near the town of Craik, which is about 117 kilometres northwest of Regina.
Police said the 80-year-old man's vehicle broke down and he started to walk along the highway.
The southbound truck struck the man and he died at the scene.
His name has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.
RCMP continue to investigate the accident.
