A 54-year-old man from Biggar, Sask., who was working on a roof in a nearby community, has died following a fall.
According to RCMP, the accident happened around 11:30 a.m. CST Tuesday at a rural residence about 30 kilometres southwest of Biggar.
An EMS crew with the local ambulance service called for an airlift by STARS, however the man died before the transfer could take place.
Police said their investigation found that the man had fallen, backwards, while working on the roof with another man.
They added that, as it was a workplace accident, the case will be investigated by the Occupational Health and Safety division of Saskatchewan's labour ministry.
