Man, 29, facing weapons charges in bingo hall robbery
Man reportedly used pellet gun to get bingo patrons to give him money
Police arrested a man, 29, in Regina on Sunday night after receiving reports of someone carrying a gun outside of a bingo hall.
Officers arrived at the scene in the city's north end shortly before 9 p.m. CT.
The man was reportedly using a pellet handgun to encourage people to give him money as they were entering the bingo hall.
When that approach failed, the man walked into the hall and grabbed money off of one of the tables.
He fled the scene, but police confronted the man and arrested him before he was able to get too far.
The 29-year-old man is facing five weapons-related charges including possession of a dangerous weapon, use of a firearm during a commission of an offence and armed robbery.
