Man, 26, dead after highway crash near Leoville, Sask.
RCMP had reports of man standing on Highway 24 before crash. Officers say it's not a hit and run.
A man, 26, is dead after a crash on Highway 24 south of Leoville, Sask. Friday night.
RCMP said they had three reports about a man on Highway 24 before they arrived at a fatal crash scene: first, two complaints about a man standing in the middle of the highway, then a third report that a vehicle had hit him.
Officers said the man was dead by the time they arrived on scene.
Police are still investigating. They confirm the crash is not a hit-and-run incident, and it's still under investigation. No charges have been laid.
The man's name is not being released.
Leoville is approximately 200 kilometres north of Saskatoon.
