A 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder for his alleged role in a violent home invasion that sent a 29-year-old resident of Nipawin to hospital with severe head injuries.

RCMP announced the latest arrests in the case Tuesday. In addition to the 19-year-old, another suspect was arrested and charged in the case: a 30-year-old man who is accused of aggravated assault.

Two other people are also in custody and charged with aggravated assault in the case.

Police have not released the identity of the injured man. They said they were called to a home in Nipawin Sunday at 5:15 a.m. CST where they found the victim.
