Police in Regina have charged four people in connection with alleged drug dealing at the Regina Correctional Centre.

Police released details on the charges Monday after making five arrests on Friday.

It's alleged cocaine, marijuana, morphine, Demerol, Halcion and Valium were being dealt at the jail.

Among those charged after a yearlong investigation are two corrections workers, although the RCMP would not say which of the four they are.

Charged are:

  • Laura Mae Reynolds, 43, who faces five counts of trafficking.
  • Brent Miles Taylor, 48, who's charged with careless use of a firearm and unauthorized possession of a firearm but has not been charged with any drug-related offences.
  • Larry W. Baragar, 59, who's charged with possession of marijuana and cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, as well as possession of the proceeds of crime.
  • Michelle Anne Braumberger, 42, who faces one charge of possession of marijuana.

The police searched three people's homes in Regina, Bethune, and Pense.

No charges were announced concerning the fifth person, an inmate at the jail whom police haven't named.

Reynolds, Taylor, and Baragar are scheduled to make a first appearance in court April 1, while Braumberger's first appearance is set for April 25.
