Police are searching for a woman who escaped from Pine Grove Correctional Centre in Prince Albert, Sask. Friday night.
Doris Roberts, 27, is said to have escaped from the grounds of the women's facility Friday at about 7 p.m. CST, just hours after she was brought in.
"Staff supervising a program area at Pine Grove noticed that there was clothing hanging on the perimeter security, razor-wire fence," said Drew Wilby with the Ministry of Corrections and Policing.
A head count was conducted and staff discovered Roberts was missing. Wilby said it's believed Roberts used the clothing to get over the fence.
She is described as a low-security offender who had been remanded on two counts of failing to comply with previous court orders and two breaches of conditions.
Roberts is approximately five feet four inches tall and 125 pounds, with brown eyes and hair.
Anyone with information on where Roberts may be is asked to call police. People are also being asked not to approach Roberts if they see her in public.
