Injured Saskatoon pedestrian, 73, dies
A 73-year-old woman who was injured after being struck by a car on July 21 has died, police in Saskatoon say.
According to police, the woman was crossing Fairlight Drive, in a marked cross walk, when she was struck by a car.
Police said they initially thought the woman's injuries were serious but not life-threatening.
On Thursday, however, police said the woman has died of the injuries.
The crash happened around 4:25 p.m. CST.
A 21-year-old man was arrested at the scene and subsequently charged with a number of drinking and driving offences.
There was no word in the police update on what effect the woman's death would have on the charges.
