A horse owner near Wilkie accused of starving some of her animals is going to court.
Concerned people in the area first complained more than a year ago.
Earlier this year, the SPCA seized four horses from a farm just south of the village of Scott, and tested others that died.
Now the owner, Laurie Blair, is charged with animal cruelty under the province's Animal Protection Act.
She is also charged with the Criminal Code offences of wilful neglect, and causing unnecessary pain to an animal.
Her first court appearance is set for July 21 in Unity.
