Two people are dead following a head-on collision near Aberdeen, Sask.
The crash happened around 8:20 a.m. CST about five kilometres north of the town, which is 32 kilometres northeast of Saskatoon.
According to MD Ambulance, a man and a woman died at the scene on Highway 41.
RCMP said the man, 67 and the woman, 55, were in a southbound car that crashed into a northbound van. The driver of the van was the only person in that vehicle and was taken to hospital for treatment.
MD Ambulance said the injured person was a 33-year-old man.
According to RCMP, the highway was shrouded in fog at the time of crash and sections of the road were slippery.
The highway was closed in both directions for several hours. RCMP said a traffic analyst is assisting with the investigation, which is still ongoing.
No names were being released.
