Amid cool, wet weather, the harvest is behind schedule in many Saskatchewan regions.

Only about 7 per cent of the crop has been combined, according to the Agriculture Ministry's weekly crop report.

In comparison, the five-year average is about 14 per cent combined.

Last night, temperatures fell close to zero in some areas, including around North Battleford.

Hail, heavy rains, flooding and strong winds caused some crop damage this week.

With most of the crop still in the field, farmers are hoping for some better weather, the report said.
