Girl, 3, hit by car on Mosquito First Nation has died
She succumbed to her injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Tuesday
A three-year-old girl who was struck by a vehicle on the Mosquito First Nation on Tuesday has died.
The child was first taken by ambulance to hospital in North Battleford, about 30 kilometres north of the reserve. She was later airlifted by helicopter to a hospital in Saskatoon.
RCMP said the accident happened on a residential property on the reserve, but did not provide more specifics about the nature of what happened.
They said that alcohol was not a factor and the driver of the vehicle, a man, was not hurt.
Battleford RCMP continue to investigate. There is no word on on whether charges will be laid.
The reserve's full name is the Mosquito Grizzly Bear's Head First Nation.
