Regina fire crews were sent to put out a burning garage Friday morning, the latest in a string of structure fires in recent weeks.

It happened around 11 a.m. CST on the 50 block of Rendek Cr. in the northwest corner of the city.

Initially there were concerns about acetylene and propane tanks in the area, fire officials on the scene said.

Crews had to cut through the garage door to get water into the building. By 12 noon, the fire was out.

SaskEnergy crews were also on scene checking the situation.

There was no immediate word on what might have caused the blaze.
