The mayors of Regina and Montreal are continuing the tradition of betting on the outcome of the CFL Grey Cup championship game, to be played Sunday in Calgary.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders and Montreal Alouettes will settle the wager at McMahon Stadium for mayors Pat Fiacco of Regina and Gérald Tremblay of Montreal..
The stakes include two pairs of season tickets.
The mayor of the losing side promises to buy tickets for next year's football games in the winning city. Those tickets will be given to a local charity, chosen by the mayor of the winning city.
As well, the mayor of the losing team promises to wear the team jersey of the opposition club during a city council meeting.
The winning team's flag will also be flown in front of the loser's city hall building for a day.
