Residents of Fond du Lac, in Saskatchewan's north, who were moved out of the community due to smoke from forest fires, have returned home.
The return trips took place Wednesday from about noon to 8 p.m. CST.
The evacuees had been in Prince Albert since Saturday.
Officials say the fire is still burning, but air quality conditions have improved.
Steve Roberts, the province's executive director of wildfire management, said Thursday that the fire is spread out over about 16,000 hectares of northern forest.
