There were several injuries but no fatalities after a multi-vehicle crash near Lumsden, Sask., Thursday morning.

It happened around 9:40 a.m. CST on Highway 11.

A STARS helicopter ambulance was dispatched to the scene. Police said there were injuries and some people may have been trapped.

It's not believed any of the injuries are serious.

The crash happened amid heavy fog near the town northwest of Regina.

Witnesses CBC spoke with said the fog may have been a factor in the crash.

The Highways Department reported zero visibility in the area and warned drivers travel was not advised.
