Flood water has Hwy 2 near Prince Albert down to one lane
A section of Highway 2 north of Prince Albert is down to one lane due to high water levels spilling onto the road.
Ministry of Highways crews have removed the water off the highway, and are working on pumping water out of the adjacent ditch.
The Water Security Agency has forecast well above normal spring runoff for the Prince Albert area this year.
Last year Highway 2 in that area experienced major flooding in two separate sections leading to long detours for people driving on the road.
The province is trying to avoid a similar scenario this year by making sure culverts are cleaned and drainage structures are working properly ahead of time.
