A Saskatchewan motorist found herself in deep water after swerving to avoid another vehicle that had stopped on the side of the highway so the occupants could take pictures of a flooded area.

The woman was not injured but her car was almost completely submerged in a water-filled ditch beside the Trans-Canada Highway.

It happened mid afternoon Friday, just outside Moose Jaw, Sask., west of Regina.

Some RCMP officers were nearby checking water levels and witnessed the crash.
