Fiery crash kills pickup truck driver near Weyburn, Sask.
Injured semi driver taken to hospital
The driver of a pickup truck died Wednesday following a fiery crash with a semi-trailer near Weyburn, Sask.
It happened around 9 p.m. CST on Highway 39, about 15 kilometres southeast of the town.
RCMP said the pickup burst into flames, the cab was completely burned and the man inside died.
He hasn't been identified.
The driver of the semi was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
It's not known what caused the crash.
Officers said their investigation lasted well into the night. Traffic was diverted for several hours, but started flowing normally earlier this morning.
